Orphanages

Chinese Agape Foundation operates six care centers (orphanages) in China. Each care center cares for about one hundred orphans and a few elderly.

Elderly Care

Caring for the elderly at the care centers has many advantages. The elderly teach the young orphans many things about life which will help them enjoy a better life. Agape cares for these elderly people until their life ends. Most have had very difficult lives and they deserve peace and comfort in their last days.

Foster Care

Several hundred orphans live with relatives. Agape provides food, clothing, shoes, medical care, school tuition and other needs as required. In the future, Agape hopes to only care for children through their orphanages. Foster care is only a substitute for the best care which is available at the care centers.

Surgeries

Poor children with congenital heart disease receive surgery in China unless it is determined that they are inoperable by Chinese doctors. If they are inoperable in China but accepted by a U.S. hospital for surgery, they are brought to the USA for open-heart surgery.

Each year Agape corrects over one hundred cleft lip/palate children. Cleft palate/lip surgeries are carried on during the entire year in China.  Only the most severe cases of cleft palates are brought to the U.S. for surgery.

Medical Missions

Medical workers from the U.S. and other countries volunteer to go work in China.  They may go any time of the year and work in one of Agape's facilities.  Contact Ron Brown if you have an interest in working in China at ronbrown20@charter.net.
